New Year......New Adventures...........

Along with Christmas, New Year's, and the twins going home our ward split back in November. And along with that being new Layne was put into the bishopric. So an exciting new adventure has come  our way. It's not anything new to have Layne gone all day Sunday, his calling before, as ward clerk prepared me for this. We have a great bishop and a great new ward. We will certainly miss a lot of our friends we have come to get to know but we see each other now and again and we are not that far away. It's a bonus for us, we get to know more people.

Since the twins went home in December, we also decided to take a short break from foster care. January is our month to recoup from the last 5 months. To regather ourselves and be "normal" again for at least a little while. It's been a lot less chaotic and crazy with the schedule we were on. I have a little down time while Christian is at school and it's been a lot more quiet in our home. If our "normal" is quiet, maybe I should say quieter!

We also took a little out of town vacay to SLC. We rented a hotel room with a big pool and had a nice over night swim party with the kids. Sunday we went up to Temple Square and went to sacrament meeting at the Joseph Smith Memorial Bldg. Everybody knew we were visiting because this particular ward had no kids. Mostly older, senior adults, no primary. After the meeting, we walked around the temple grounds and the visitors center. It was a nice break from the norm with just us, as a family!
