Christian's Blessing Day

We blessed Christian at church today. He looked so cute in his little outfit and he did such a great job not fussing while being blessed. Layne gave him a wonderful blessing and also bore a great testimony about family. I am so blessed to have these 2 guys in my life. Thank you Layne for honoring your priesthood. I'm grateful Christian will be able to look to you for your wonderful example!

It was a  wonderful Sunday with all our family at church to bless Christian. Grandma and Grandpa Cromwell came down for the weekend to visit and spend time with us. One of Layne's best friends, Todd Campbell, came as well. And we had Grandpa and Grandma Mott, Amy, Kasey and Royce and Kristy and her kids. Thanks to everyone for coming it made the day extra special.

Photo Shoot

For Layne's birthday I wanted to give him an updated picture of all of us so he could have a picture at work. So my sister Kristy has a really nice high tech camera and I asked her if we could have a little photo shoot to get some pictures. She will claim the lighting wasn't all that great but I think they turned out great. She did a wonderful job. There were so many good pictures but below are some of my very favorites! Thanks Kristy!

Sleeping???!!!

Well just when we think Julia is in her bed and sleeping for the night we discover the truth! Death to the Pillow Pet. She had found a hole in it and decided to pull out most of the stuffing. We asked her what she was doing and she said pulling out the fluffy stuff. We asked why and she said because it had a hole in it. We weren't upset or mad at her, Layne and I both were trying not to laugh but we told her we don't pull out the stuffing and she started to cry. She kept saying, "It's all my fault." She felt really bad. But I told her in the morning we would fix the Pillow Pet and sew up the hole! 

Big Helper!

Julia loves to help with anything you are doing, cooking meals, changing Christians clothes, and even putting together a tv stand. Even when things seem a little to hard for her to do she will find some way to still help. So Layne let her help at the very end with pounding in some nails. She loved it! Thanks Julia for being such a big help. You are always willing to help whenever we need it!

Flashback Friday!

I was looking through some of Layne's old baby pictures and came across this one. Layne's mom said he would squish up his face and breath/snort through his nose. Well, I remember that Julia use to do the same face and found a picture of her doing the same exact thing. Father like daughter!!

Christian 3 Months

3 months old already! And Christian is getting so big. I was looking back at pictures at Christmas and he was so tiny. He certainly has filled out. He has the chubbiest cheeks and a cute double chin. I thought his shirt was appropriate, 'SQUIRMY' is right!! I could barely get a picture of him he was moving around so much! He loves to kick his legs and always has at least one foot moving, just like his sister! He is still eating a bunch and usually 4 out of the 7 nights of the week he will sleep through the night.....love that part for sure! He still won't sleep in the pack n play...so until he starts rolling over his favorite spot is still the couch! I love to sit and rock him to sleep, its the only time he sits still. Love this baby boy....I can't get enough of him!

He is such a SMILEY boy. In the morning when he wakes up is my favorite time. He is pretty happy and loves to just sit and look around at everything. He loves to smile when you talk to him.

Happy Birthday Layne!

We had a great day celebrating Layne's 34th birthday this year! Me and the kids met him after work to go out for a birthday dinner at Carraba's(?) and it was delicious, as Julia told us at dinner. I agree the food was fantastic and the company was even better. After dinner we went home for the celebrations with family. We had everyone come over for pie and presents.

We had a HUGE surprise for Layne this year. My sister had the idea and we all agreed to go in on one BIG present for Layne. So before the big surprise we had to give him something to open. So he got some candy, socks, and a new picture of his family to take to work.

We told him he had one more gift and he had to close his eyes. This is Layne in anticipation for the BIG gift!

We brought it in and told him to open his eyes!

I think he was surprised. He kinda just sat there for a minute until it registered!

We had a sign with everyone's name on it. Thanks to Sherry and Phil, as well, for going in on the big gift!

He was so excited and so surprised! It was a greatend to a great day!
