Julia has been eating real food for a few months now. She refuses to be spoon fed. We tried Macaroni and Cheese and the first few tries she let me feed it to her but now she has figured it out that she isn't feeding it to herself so it just ends up flying everywhere as she spits it back at me. So we have altogether stopped spoon feeding her. She loves to do it by herself!! She is very good at getting it into her mouth but occasionally misses:) She loves her fruits and veggies (peas&carrots). She will eat just about anything you put in front of her. The sippy cup is also another fun item we have tried. She will drink from it but the last swallow doesn't quite get in and it flows down the front of her as she spits a wonderful liquid spray everywhere. Hopefully this is a stage she will just pass through!! We are also weaning her from formula to cow's milk!!! We have a trip coming up and I didn't want to have to pack it let alone pay for formula. Hopefully she will just LOVE IT, like everything else, and we can stop buying the expensive cans of formula!! Monday, July 14, 2008

Julia and Landon appear to be in the same stage. :) Landon likes to feed himself too. Our kitchen gets so messy. I sweep like 5 times a day. It is also funny that by watching your video I can tell that Landon and Julia both enjoy Signing Times. :) Funny that I can recognize the music. We have a bunch of them on tivo. Signing Times can turn a grumpy baby into a happy baby.
Way to go Julia what a big girl your are getting to be. Don't worry mom won't melt when you spray her with water right, just kidding, I can't wait to see you and your mommy soon!
Babies are so fun when they try to be independent! Cute girl!
