Happy 3rd Anniversary

Today makes 3 years already. Time really does fly by. As I look out the window this morning its cold and snowing much like our wedding day. But as the day progressed the sun finally came out to brighten up the day. It was a wonderful day to celebrate the joining of two people to create a new family unit!
I like to reflect how far we have come each year. We are still learning and growing about each other and how a marriage should operate! We certainly don't have it all figured out yet and I don't think we will anytime soon....especially with us being parents. Some days and years are harder than others and some just seem to float by without incident. But its the challenges and trials that make us grow stronger.
And a SPECIAL shoutout to the Love of my Life......... to Layne who makes life interesting!! You're a great dad. Julia can't wait to see you at the end of the day! You're always willing to try and work hard. You are so good with others and know just how to make everyone comfortable and feel right at home. I LOVE and appreciate you more and more each day. Happy Anniversary!

"Then we sat on the edge of the earth, with our feet dangling over the side, and marveled that we had found each other. "

Brownies and Goggles

The other day I was making homemade brownies and asked Julia if she wanted to help. We got out the big mixure and she helped pour in some of the ingredients. She wouldn't let me put her down because she wanted to watch it "cook" as she would say. I pulled up a chair and let her watch until I poured out the batter and she asked for a "bite." So this was her first go at licking the leftovers.....she had fun and I had some good brownies :) Yummy!

It was bath time last night and daddy brought in some "new glasses" to try on. We captured the moment before she quickly took them off. I can't wait for this summer to let her swim in the pool. We will probably live in the pool this year since Julia would live in the water if she could. She loves it :) So maybe she will grow up to be an Olympic swimmer or maybe just a cute water baby!!

Happy Easter

Happy Easter everyone. What a wonderful morning to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. The sun was shining and it was just a beautiful day. My parents and sister came to church with us and then we had an Easter feast later in the day with everyone. Julia looked so cute in her new Easter dress. She also really loved the 2 easter egg hunts we did. Daddy did one for her when she woke up and then we did one after church outside. She had fun gathering up all the eggs and then shaking each one to see what was inside. She enjoyed the loot needless to say. Thanks to my family for coming and spending the day with us. Its always nice to visit and spend time with family. It makes life so much more enjoyable!!

Lofty Goal Cont.

For the month of March I made it to two more temples. My mom, dad, sister and I attended the SLC temple on a Saturday. It was a nice spring day and busy, busy, busy!! Lots of weddings and people doing work. Its been awhile since going to Salt Lake to attend a live session...you have to experience it at least once!!

Then Layne and I had our monthly temple night and we did sealings at the Jordan River Temple. Also another busy night!! Lots of work to do and its nice to see people taking time out of their busy lives to do this work. How important it truly is and how blessed we are to be so close to a temple. Thank you for going with me sweetie and for taking the picture to document the occasion.
