Pumpkin Patch

Well it was an adventure to say the least but this week we took a trip to Hee Haw Farms. If you can call it a farm? I will say this though the kids loved it and had a great time but we as adults were a little disappointed. Just a tad bit over priced for the quality of the place. We have a word for these types of things in life and that is...Jenky!! Glad we used our coupons to get in! But it was nice weather, the kids ran around tired themselves out and had a fun time.

The girls posing on the Giant Pumpkins!

Loved all the tractors. The kids didn't want to get off!

The 'man-made' slide. A little scary but
the kids loved it. Julia would go down and
just scream at the top of her lungs!
A little train to ride. Sure was dusty and bumpy!
Instead of staying for the hayride to the pumpkin patch
we all decided to go to Macy's to pick out pumpkins. The
kids had a great time climbing and picking out their own
pumpkins to carve!

A Future at the GAP?!

This weekend we took a weekend trip up to Preston to visit Grandma and Grandpa Cromwell. I told Julia we needed to pack and get ready and so she went into her room. She was awful quiet so I knew she was up to something. I called back to her and asked what she was doing and she informed me she was "packing." Layne came out and said, "you need to come look at this." That is usually code for "you have a mess to clean up!!" So I went to take a look and this is what I found. Layne was dying laughing because he said it looked like the GAP in here. Everything all in rows and beautifully displayed. This kid might have a future in fashion or retail displays!!
Everything all laid out to see each design and color. So many options and items to pick from !! Kids are funny!!

Fall

Its that time of year when the leaves are changing and the temperatures are a little cooler!!! My family and I usually try to get up in the mountains to see the colors change and take a few pictures. Its not easy trying to get 4 kids to all look at the camera and sit still but we managed to get a few good ones. They were all more interested in collecting leaves and rocks.

Loving Fall!

Family Night

We decided to get out of the house and go do a family activity. Putt-putt golf at Cascade Golf down in Provo. It was Julia's first time to play mini-golf and she was really excited. She picked out her own color ball and golf club and we were really to go. We were glad to have the winner of the 'green jacket' with us because Julia needed a little help with holding the club and hitting the ball. Layne was great about showing her how this was to be done. When she finally got the ball close to the hole she would pick it up and place it right in front of the hole and then putt it in. Layne kept telling her to just hit it where it was but she just kept telling him that it was to far away and to hard. So she made it easy on herself. We had a few meltdowns when it came to the water hazard holes. She hit her ball in the water and just started bawling. We had to explain that it was ok and we just take the ball out of the water and try again. Once we got the ball out she marched up to the hole and put the ball about 3 inches away from the hole to hit it in. It was a good time and fun to watch her experience yet another first.
Ready to go!

Halloween can be Scary!

We went out shopping to some Halloween stores yesterday to look for some cowgirl items for Julia. One store had some pretty scary displays so we tried to avoid those areas. So when we came out to the car this conversation occurred.

Julia: "That was not a fun store mama."
Me: " Why not?"
Julia: " There were lots of bad guys and really mean babies."

She makes me laugh so hard some times
