Family Night

We decided to get out of the house and go do a family activity. Putt-putt golf at Cascade Golf down in Provo. It was Julia's first time to play mini-golf and she was really excited. She picked out her own color ball and golf club and we were really to go. We were glad to have the winner of the 'green jacket' with us because Julia needed a little help with holding the club and hitting the ball. Layne was great about showing her how this was to be done. When she finally got the ball close to the hole she would pick it up and place it right in front of the hole and then putt it in. Layne kept telling her to just hit it where it was but she just kept telling him that it was to far away and to hard. So she made it easy on herself. We had a few meltdowns when it came to the water hazard holes. She hit her ball in the water and just started bawling. We had to explain that it was ok and we just take the ball out of the water and try again. Once we got the ball out she marched up to the hole and put the ball about 3 inches away from the hole to hit it in. It was a good time and fun to watch her experience yet another first.
Ready to go!
The Wrong way.
Doing it the right way with a lesson from the expert.
