2 Peas in a Pod!

Julia loves her Daddy! Every morning Julia comes in my room and asks me where Daddy is and I say he went to work. She then proceeds to say " I need to give him a hug and kiss!" I always tell her he will be home later to change his clothes and go to his other job. She is certainly Daddy's little girl! Layne comes home after a long day and she is so excited to see him. They usually catch up on the day and then they run around and laugh and tickle each other. Its fun to watch them play and talk together. I ♥ them both!!

Great, Great Grandma Brown

Who can say that they still have a Great, Great Grandma still alive??? Well, Julia can! This is Layne's Great Grandma Brown! She lives up in Idaho Falls and we went to go visit her on our way up to the Ranch for the Parker Party this year. She is an amazing lady and certainly had a lot to tell us! We wanted to document the moment and so we took a picture! Julia being shy of course but she did walk right up to her to gt the picture. Pretty awesome in my opinion!

3rd Birthday!

Julia had a great birthday. We first had a visit from Grandma and Grandpa Cromwell who were in town and they got to see where we now live. We then went down to Color Me Mine and Julia got to paint her very own ceramic. She wanted a piggy bank to put all her money in. It was a very colorful pig at that!

We asked her what she wanted to have for lunch and she said "Chips and Salsa!" So we ate at a Mexican restaurant to ensure they had what she wanted.

Then it was time to go play again. It use to be called Liberty Land but Trafalga bought them out. Its a little play park, with rides and video games. Julia rode a few rides and played a few games before we called it quits. It was nap time for everyone before the Birthday Party!!

Julia has been obsessed with BUZZ and WOODY!! Every time we go over to grandma Mott's they watch the Toy Story movies. So I asked her what kind a party she wanted and she told me "Buzz and Woody, Mom, with a Buzz and Woody cake!" Ok, so that was my attempt at a Toy Story Cake....I think it turned out pretty good :)

We had the cousins, aunts and uncles, and Grandma come for the party (Gpa Mott was as work) We had pizza and then blew out the candles on the cake! She was surprised to see the cake. I didn't want her to see it until right before. She seemed so concentrated on the cake that she needed help blowing out her candles. I think she liked it :) Presents were next and it was Christmas in August!! She loved to open each one and to see what was next. She has a Buzz and Woody doll and has been wanting a Jesse and Bullseye one. Her cousin Kate, got those for her birthday and Julia wanted her very own. It was so cute that when she opened each one she said "Are these mines?" So cute. I told her yep, those are yours to keep! She was so excited.
Daddy also had a few great gifts up his sleeve....Daddy is very sneaky!!! We went to Disneyland in March and he bought Julia a Mickey shirt and some princess pins! A little back story on the pins. They have pin trading at Disneyland and so we spent some time trying to fill up our necklace with pins that Julia liked best. Princesses, Mickey and Minnie, Winnie the Pooh and friends. So we get home from the trip and the necklace magically disappears. No one knew where it had gone. I looked through everything and thought that when we moved it would show up but no...nowhere to be found. Well, for one of Julia's gifts Layne had a shadow box made with all the pins we had collected. It was probably the coolest gift she got, in my opinion....VERY SNEAKY. Layne just laughed it off :)
.
Another one of her favorite gifts was a new art easel from Grandma Mott. It certainly keeps her busy and that makes me happy!!
Well it was a great day! I think Julia had a good time and I was certainly worn out. She ended the day in her new Jesse pjs watching a new movie. She wanted to lay down on her new pillow pet to be cozy. I love the cowgirl boots adds so much to the outfit. What a great 3rd Birthday. We love you Julia!! We are so grateful you are a part of our family!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Happy Birthday Julia!

3 years ago, Julia Elizabeth Cromwell, was born. I can't believe she is 3 already, time really does fly! She certainly is not a baby anymore. She has turned into a spunky, sassy, funny, and beautiful little girl. We are so glad to have her as a part of our family, life wouldn't be complete without her. We love you Julia!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Update

Well I'm 19.5 weeks along with baby brother and feeling pretty good. Over the weekend, while up in Preston I got the 24 hour flu so that was no fun!! But besides that I have been dealing with headaches so I'm taking medication for those when they put me out of commission and besides the headaches I'm doing pretty good. I try to stay hydrated and out of the sun....it sucks the life out of me! I'm grateful for our very cool basement apartment we live in. I hope I can last 2 more months until fall gets here!

I had an extensive ultrasound on Monday to make sure the baby is growing properly (they want you to have one of these types of ultrasounds if you are 35 or older). They measured everything from his head to arm and leg bones. All the organs look good as well....(big sigh of relief) You always hope everything is ok but its not until you see the baby or hear that everything looks good. We just need to keep him baking (as Layne would say)!

I have been able to feel him move since the 4th of July. He doesn't move around quite as much as Julia did but maybe that will change when he gets bigger. I'm trying to get things organized for his arrival while I can still move around, trying to find a place for him and getting little diapers and baby clothes ready. Buying little boy clothes is a little different for me. Its still hard to believe I'm having a boy. I didn't grow up with brothers or even a lot of boy cousins for that matter, it will just be a little different for me. Boy clothes and short hair, scouts, passing the sacrament, and a future missionary on my hands just seems foreign to me. That's why I have Layne to help :) I'm sure this little guy will be just like dad....a sports fanatic!! I can't wait to see how different he will be, who he will look like and how Julia will get along with him!

Layne and I both have names we really like and actually agree on so we just need to decide. It was ALOT easier than picking Julia's name for sure. Julia has an opinion and wants to name baby brother Tarzan :) She asks me on occasion if Tarzan is in my tummy! Kids are to cute!

LOVE

I think Julia said, " I love you mama" about 100 times yesterday!! Just randomly throughout the day she would let me know.....Melts my heart ♥♥♥
