We got to see penguins, baby camin alligators, and all kinds of fish. The otters were out playing and the kids would just laugh and laugh. Even the octopus was awake and just moving all around. I found it fascinating. I could have watched it all day. The kids loved the glowing jellyfish too, the light would rotate through different colors and they would just oooo and awww at them. The highlight of the day was the petting pond. They had little sting-rays, starfish and even some smaller sharks. One just happend to be swimming around the pond for everyone to touch. I help Christian up and he held out his hand and it swam right by him. He pulled his hand back quickly but wanted to do it again. It was cold and kinda slimy. Then a little stingray was swimming and jumping around. It was super fast and friendly. It would swim around the edges and we were able to touch it to. It was also super slimy and rubbery. Just a weird texture. We also saw some spiky sea urchins but Christian was not about to touch those.
He is as tall as a penguin |
A big shark mouth |
The baby camin alligators |
Having a good time |
"Shark, touch it." "Shark, touch it, moving around."
"Alligators, alligators log." (they were sitting on a log)
"Peguins, funny"
"Otters swimming, balls." (they had a couple of balls in their river)
The alligators and touching the shark must have been his favorite part because he kept telling me about them the most. Saying the same things over and over again. He even woke up and came to tell me all about it in the morning. He gets a funny little chuckle going and tells me about the shark and the alligator. Its so funny.
