Traditions.......

Julia was asked to share a family tradition in her class this year. So we decided to share a movie that we watch every year that is special to us and then hand out a treat for her class. Julia was really excited to help make the treat and participate!

We decided to tell her class that we watch the Polar Express every year. And our favorite part is the Hot Chocolate scene, so we are handing out packets of hot chocolate to each kid in her class. Around each packet of hot chocolate is the first gift of Christmas. So Julia is going to ask what the first gift of Christmas was? And that will be wrapped around each packet of hot chocolate, which of course is a bell! Can you still hear it ringing??
While Julia was working on making those I was working on our neighbor gifts. I usually make a plate of goodies but this year I had a jar and put M&M's inside and had the M&M poem to go along with it. It talks about how the M&M can be turned to look like a w, 3, e and m, which all represent different things in the Christmas story. They turned out cute!
