Christian turned 10 months old today. Time is flying by and he just gets bigger and bigger. Last month was pretty rough with teeth coming in, a congestive cough, some conjunctivitis, and a fractured leg. BUT, despite it all, the boy is tough and happy. Christian finally has all 4 top teeth in and he is getting 2 more on the bottom. He is getting more and more blond hair. We might have to do a little trimming over the ears. Still has the big chubby cheeks, I hope those don't go away anytime soon!
He is eating more solid foods. Loves blueberry pancakes, yogurt, and any type of cracker. He is just a very messy eater. He loves to stick he had back in his mouth and get the food all over his face and pants. He loves to sit in his high chair and pound on the tray to make his food fly all over. I pick up more off the floor than he actually eats.
Christian is becoming more mobile and independent. He still army crawls but is getting better at the 'regular' crawl. He is able to crawl a ways and then come to a sitting position. Its fun to watch him find a toy or a ball, anything that rolls, because he will go to grab it and it moves away from him and then he crawls up to grab it and moves again. Its fun to watch him play. And he LOVES to pull himself up and stand on his own. Anything he can get his hands on to stand up and there he is. He still has balance problems when he tries to walk along the furniture but he is getting better at it. I can't believe he is almost walking. I wonder if he will walk before Julia did? He just might pull it off!
He is also talking a little more. More babble with his tongue moving back and forth. I don't know how he does it, but its fun to see him be more vocal and expressive. He still does his 'man' grunt. And if you get him grunting he won't stop. He is understanding some of the sign language I use but hasn't signed anything himself yet. He knows what eat, more, and all done look like. I'm not as consistent with him as I was with Julia but I hope to be better, because it really did work with Julia and help us out a lot, knowing what she wanted.
Still loves bath time. What kid doesn't. Whenever I go to turn on the water and have it running he gets so excited and starts moving. I can't get him into the water fast enough. Only problem is, that he likes to try and pull himself up in the tub so we have to make him sit down. He loves to lay on his tummy and just swim around like its his own pool.
Christian is a very happy, content, little boy. I can't wait to see what another month holds for us. He is such a delight to have in our family. We love you Bubbas!
