Spring Break Day 2

Well, I, along with everyone else in the world had the same idea today. We ventured down to Thanksgiving Point to Farm Town. I wanted to get there right when it opened so it wouldn't be to busy but I pulled up and I saw a bus load of kids get off.....GREAT! So I decided to waste some time and wait for the crowds to die down. So we went to get some pictures with all the pretty tulips they had around the grounds. The kids were a little more interested in looking at the flowers than the camera but I got a few good shots.
Beautiful day!

My favorite girl amid my favorite flower!

We decided to hit the farm and the crowds weren't as bad as I thought. First thing we saw were some baby chicks and Christian went crazy. He was pointing and trying to talk and signing birdy over and over. Next we saw some cows and a new baby pony. Christian got brave and went up to the cow and was petting it. Julia was happy to see the new baby pony and kept saying she wanted to pet it but it was staying really close to mama. It was fun to see Christian actually get to see the animals up close.

Petting the cow....He is even saying mooooo

new arrival

The BIG green tractor
We got to ride in a wagon pulled by 2 big draft horses. It was a nice little ride. Julia got to have her pony ride. That was her favorite thing of the day. I think Christian loved the horses and the ducks. We saw some horses and he petted them and even tried to crawl in the stall with them. Man, he is quick if you aren't watching him at all times. He also walked along side some big geese that were talking and squawking at him. And of course he made his famous duck noise. Christian really liked the big tractor they had out. He kept running over to it. Julia climbed up the steps and Christian kept saying car, car and waiting to climb in the tires. Its fun to see how excited they get over simple things we see everyday.

Next we stopped for lunch. Julia was most excited about her free ice cream she got for being so good and eating lunch. I got Christian a cone too and he loves to hold it all by himself, which is so messy, but today I just didn't care! Julia gobbled hers right up and Christian took his time eating the cone from the bottom end first, it was funny to watch.
YUMMY!
It was a fun morning and it was a nice sunny day. The kids had a good time and I'm glad we got to make some more memories. Christian must have really enjoyed it because he felt asleep on the way home!
